Major Cultures

The dominant species of the inner worlds seem to be the only species affected by the alpha gene. Their affinity for adaptation has made them one of the most prosperous species in the galaxy. Compounding this is the interesting discovery that humans existed in all of the other eras of galactic civilization. 

They are a series of several insectoid species that formed together into a single, matriarchal governmental structure. In the wake of the last war, they have placed heavy restrictions on their societal expansion, though some still possess wanderlust and are free to pursue it. They have protectorate states that serve their more restrictive lifestyle in exchange for its protection and benefits.

An umbrella term for artificial intelligence, there are many different kinds of AI, some ancient, others new. Any attempts to regulate them fail as a new type is discovered. Popular fiction about machine uprisings and the existence of powerful ancient AI forces in the north have given the public a mixed reception, and the conversation of AI rights is a fiercely debated one. 

There are three main species: the Jabal[slug-like], the Andar[green humanoids], and the Sylvar[cat-like]. They are warlike but very communal. They believe in conquest but also in the ecosystem of politics(too much war too soon can be a bad thing). They primarily exist as mercenaries and bounty hunters and are believed to have founded the hunter’s lodge.
