Major planets
Pretty much every habitable planet in the galaxy with very few exception has been colonized by a previous space faring government and as a result has left a long trail of history throughout the ages that has led to more questions than answers.
Major planets list
The major planets that are in the knowledge of the public vernacular.
Ecuminous
A planet-spanning city (or ecumenopolis) immediately south of the galactic core, it serves as the financial hub of the galaxy and, as a consequence, the capital of the Heran Republic. Additionally, its moon is comprised of an enormous software habitat that manages a large portion of the galactic economy and defends it from significant software threats. Intriguingly, the planet has not only been the center of the galactic population for every previous era, but it has also predated every known civilization and was created for an unknown purpose by people unknown.
Cenninunerth
The home to the greatest shipyard in the galaxy with both the highest production rate and quality. The shipyard is built around the largest orbital ring in the galaxy, which cheaply delivers resources from the metal-rich surface of the planet. The volcanic activity of the planet has made it one of the most abundant mining resources and industrial producers of ship parts in the galaxy. That being said, there is a highly disproportionate difference between the lifestyle of those who live in the habitable zone versus those who live in the uninhabitable zones and the middle class living in the crowded cylinder habitats in space.
Geluvb
The homeworld of the hive this planet is a combination between vast deserts to hold its massive population and lush plateaus reserved for the production of food. Because of the hive's territorial advances for resources they have recently restricted the movement of their population to prevent overpopulation on other planets.
Dradus
The hub world for one of the two unidentified synthetic races ruling over the northwestern side of the galactic rim(the presence of both synthetics makes it challenging to determine which rules it). It is a remarkably well-preserved world with a flourishing ecosystem comprised of numerous specimens from across the galaxy, seemingly down to its single-celled entities. Its cities are powered by numerous eco-friendly powers to an extend which would be impractical for most organic beings.
Bao MME5
The hub world for one of the two unidentified synthetic races ruling over the northwestern side of the galactic rim(the presence of both synthetics makes it challenging to determine which rules it). It is an ecumenopolis whos surface seems to be covered in production facilities and servers while its orbit is composed of numerous orbital rings and skyhooks each of which having purposes that can only be speculated at. Pretty much nothing has been determined beyond that information given the hostility of the synthetic races present.
Soruta
The capital of the Vander Reich is a gas giant with a series of megastructures built onto and around it, which seem to predate any known civilization. The gas giant is surrounded by about 61 banks orbitals ['halo rings'] in place of moons, which serve various administration, agricultural, and production purposes for the Reich. Meanwhile, the capital is located on an orbital plate that moves through Soruta's upper atmosphere and serves as the fixed capital of the Reich. There are rumors of a yet unknown function of the structures that was the purpose behind their creation, but the Vander Reich denies any such discovery.
Morpherus
A bishop ring that is one of the most prominent shipyards and trading posts in the galaxy and home to the warrior's cabal. Who created the bishop ring and their motives were is one of the most enduring mysteries of the galaxy. But despite the interest, the warrior's cabal is unwilling to let the galactic community study the bishop ring, using its religious significance as their primary defense.
Gathiria
Filled with deep canyons and high plateaus, this world is the site of the largest penal colony in the galaxy. The world was seemingly made to hold prisoners within its snowy tundras and impossible to flee facilities. Perfect weather for holding prisoners, perfect terrain and perfect wildlife. It has been known to hold the most notorious criminals and supervillains in the galaxy.
Yogsun
Once the most prosperous trading post in the galaxy now a radiated wasteland. During the end of the last war there was a terrorist attack on a defunct nuclear power plant resulting in rendering the planet uninhabitable. The Reich used this as an opportunity to propose the ceasefire while the economy recovered. No one has yet to take credit for the attack, many suspect it was the Reich who famously started up nuclear research projects prior to the war but no proof has been found.
Colnuna
The planet itself is cgomprised of truly immense jungles and forests that have multiple dense ecosystems some of which span above the clouds. However the ecosystem that most people of the galaxy are familiar with is the flostom a satellite in orbit around the planet. During the war between the republic and the Vander Reich this world was situated on several important trade lanes that made it vital to the final faze of the war. But during the conflict several dreadnoughts and battlecruisers rammed into each other with the ensuing chaos destroying a majority of both fleets. This was one of the main factors that lead to the ceasefire that brought an end to the war. Currently the remains of the massive fleet have been converted into a city of salvagers referred to as the flotsam which has been regarded as a neutral space for most parties and site of much speculation regarding possible fortunes to be made.
