Pantheons
In this world, good and evil, as well as order and chaos, are tangible fundamental forces that can influence the world around it. There are five degrees of moral alignment[good, moral, neutral, impure, and evil] and five degrees of ideological alignment[lawful, social, neutral, rebel, and chaotic]. At the end of the dawn war, the gods signed a divine accord which divided up the territory of the greatest gods among themselves by alignment to ensure the multiverse's stability. Today, these gods are divided into three allied pantheons who maintain the balance of power in both the material plane and the afterlife.
Pantheons
In the past, each group of people had developed its own pantheon, typically pulled from the same gods. This method was often based on the cultures created around them(e.g., a culture of warriors would worship only the warrior gods, a culture of pacifists would worship only the compassionate or underhanded gods, etc.). After the creation of the alliance, they created a standardized pantheon of all the post-dawn war gods based on their alignment to provide cohesion and to outlaw the problematic gods of the evil pantheon.
All the gods of the upper planes, who are dedicated to encouraging the moral behavior of life.
All the gods of the neutral planes, who are dedicated to the preservation of life.
All the gods of the lower planes, who are dedicated to the manipulation of life.
other forms of divinity
Above are lists of all the greater gods; there exist intermediate, lesser gods, demigods, and saints who either serve themselves or are in the service of one of the greater gods. Bear in mind that divinity is not a science, and these entities' powers are far more unpredictable and less quantifiable, if at all.
